Days 3 and 4 created a bacteria/virus out of clay based on their research. We then did a break out (think…escape room) to figure out the possible illness being spread in a fictional classroom.
Our Day 1 and 2 classes are learning how to use the motors, sensors, and bumper switches as part of our robotics unit.
Mr. K’s class took their knowledge of speed and energy to build a vehicle restraint system to save the egg. It was great to see all of the different designs!
Our third grade classes used their knowledge from the previous lessons to design one glider as a group, that could bring as many supplies (blinder clips) to a remote area in need. It had to travel at lest 40 inches to be successful.
Our second graders used their knowledge of states of matter to try and save the ice pop. A Young Inventor’s Award was given to the group that had the least amount of melted liquid.
Our kinders are applying their knowledge of structure and function by zooming into the human body!

Mrs. Walenta’s and Mr. Cooley’s classes had a blast creating a toy with their VEX kits. They used the Clips app to make a commercial that had to convince their peers to buy the toy. Click on the picture below to check them out!
